Sports Activities in Our School

Education finds its full and complete meaning when it is strengthened by sports activities for which the school offers wonderful facilities. Stress is laid on activity-based learning than on examination-based learning which helps the students to have all-around development. So, sports are taken as an indispensable part of the learning in the classroom as it relaxes and removes the student’s minds and energies. Specialized training is provided to the students by arranging expert coaches in various games
Sports & games are an inseparable part of a school’s teaching & learning process. To ensure the best physical, mental & psychological development school hosts various games such as BasketBall, Cricket, Hand Ball, Badminton, Chess , Carrom, Karathe , Silambam , Yoga, Kho – Kho ,Short put, Discus throw, Athletics, Kabbadi etc. are played and the students have brought laurels to the school by excelling in these.

Graduation Day Celebrations

Our School celebrated Kindergarten Graduation Day every year, Tiny tots dressed up with nice attires and performed different activities like music, dance & skit , which was appreciated by all gathered. The Chief Guest in their convocation address complimented the graduates on their achievements, also congratulated the teachers for their dedication and hard work in shaping the students through education and other co-curricular activities. The most important part of the day- Graduation Ceremony started with the smart tiny tots of Pre – primary dressed in graduation robes and caps walking the stage. The Correspondent along with the Chief Guest felicitated the students with Medals and Certificate of Graduation. Children looked pretty in their graduation robes and caps. It was indeed a joyous and memorable day for not only the little ones but also a proud moment for the parents and the mentors as they witnessed their children receiving their KG Graduation Day Diploma’s from the guests. We wish all the Success of these tiny “graduates” as they continue their education in the main stream of the school!

Pongal Day Celebrations

Pongal is a harvest festival, a traditional thanks giving occasion to nature. Pongal is celebrated with joy in our school with community members like parents, teachers and students. Students perform various kinds of activities during Pongal festival. It gives a good opportunity to our team in collecting information about Pongal festival. In school, Pongal was made by cooking rice in an earthen pot at the court yard at Wood burning stove. When the milk starts boiling and over flows people in Chorus says "Pongalo – Pongal ".
Members of the school community organise various types of activities during pongal celebration at school. Firstly, pongal celebration starts with making Pongal followed by colourful presentations of Rangoli, cultural programmes by students. It includes traditional dance, poems and songs. Thereafter traditional games mark pongal celebration in our schools. Our team member conducted traditional activities in our school. Students participated enthusiastically in all activities to promote pongal festival among community. It gives oppurtunity for students to learn about culture & traditions.

Annual Day Celebrations

Annual Day forms an integral part of our school activities. It is an occasion of celebration, felicitation, feast and festivity when students present not only their wonderful performances but also receive honours for their curricular and co-curricular achievements.
The Annual Day was woven around and the Prize Distribution was entitled ‘HARMONY’.
The Correspondent sir congratulated the school for taking such an edifying topic which requires a quick moral action on everybody’s part.
The Annual Prize Distribution function was a moment of pride and honour for all the winners and achievers of the school. The students were awarded prizes in the Academic as well as Co-Curricular areas. The function included, by the student’s Dance and Drama .
Our Vice Principal extended a warm welcome to the dignitaries and presented the Annual Report. He read out the achievements of the school – both Academic and Co-curricular and wished success to the students who could not make up for the prizes.

DENGUE AWARENESS PROGRAM

Our School organized a Dengue Awareness Camp to educate students and the local community about the prevention and control of dengue fever. The event included informative sessions by healthcare professionals who highlighted the symptoms, transmission, and preventive measures related to dengue
Various engaging activities, such as workshops and quizzes, were conducted to enhance understanding and create awareness. Our school premises were adorned with informative posters and banners, emphasizing the importance of maintaining a clean environment to eliminate potential breeding grounds for mosquitoes.
The camp successfully educated participants about the significance of community involvement in controlling the spread of dengue. It fostered a sense of responsibility among students to promote a dengue-free environment. The initiative aligns with the school's commitment to community well-being and public health.
Overall, the Dengue Awareness Camp proved to be an effective means of disseminating crucial information, fostering a sense of responsibility, and encouraging positive behavioral changes in the community.

Public Environmental Awareness Program of our school and Other Activities Awareness is the basic tool for protection of the environment. The Public Environmental Awareness programme aims at creating awareness amongst general public and different segments of the society for minimizing and controlling pollution. Campaign activities are planned and executed under this plan .

GENERAL AWARNESS PROGRAM

We conducted an awareness program for the school students about the impacts of the mobile phones and how to overcome from that impacts. Students were actively participated in the program which was conducted in and around the Salem. We also conducted some events like Drawing, Oratorical, Group Discussion, Skit …. to execute their talents.

CULTURE OF PREVENTIVE HEALTH CARE
